Chicago powerhouse squadron Seven Oddities are keeping the term #YearOfTheOddz in full effect with the announcement of yet another project dropping this year. On top of the four part “Out For Blood” mixtape series they have in effect for 2016, the posse is poised to debut multiple projects produced entirely by beat makers from outside the U.S., one of which is the upcoming “Old Fashion Hip Hop” EP. The project is a collab effort with Ukraine producer Alf of Aromotherapy fame.
To kick things off, we get a visual treatment for the lively “Oddities Philosophy”, which features Doomsday, DreamTek and Clever One. This particular EP presents us with a different sound from the Oddz than the hard body Hip Hop they have become so well known for. However, don’t expect some sugarcoated radio Hip Pop here, the fellas still flex tough over the piano and string laced instrumental. With Kajmir Royale on the beat, Columbus lyricist Milligram delivers some visual dope with his latest video, “Welcome”. Constructed as a “get to know” song, the Ohio native delivers brash vocals with a full array of cadences, a perfect way to have started off his latest mixtape, “The Death and Life of Milligram”. The visual contains some intense drone aerial shots and footage of Milli patrolling the city streets late at night. Press play and get to know the Midwest artist.

ENDURE, BRINGING BACK THE REAL R&B THAT HAS BEEN MISSING
Endure is a 4 man r&b singing group that was formed in Albany, Georgia, the birthplace of The Genius of Soul, Ray Charles. Group members: J.B., Que, Qua & Nu are lovers of that real soul music that was brought to you by The Temptations, Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, Jagged Edge and 112 to name a few.
Recently the group opened for the legendary Babyface in Indianapolis and were well received by the sold out crowd. “You Deserve Better” is their follow up single to “Sexy, Grown & Beautiful” and set the table nicely for their debut album slated for release this Summer.
The single was produced by Uncle Jamz & E-Bo. It is available on iTunes, Amazon, Apple, etc.
New York author and lyricist William Young is making major noise with this new single “Harold At The Light” featuring Globe and Yay High. In its first week it’s already gotten airplay on Power 105, Shade 45, and XM Radio.
Born William De Jesus Jr, he burst onto the scene in 2012 with his attention grabbing novel ‘Gorilla Khan’. Featuring a cast of colorful and intriguing characters, William was able to draw readers in and create somewhat of a cult following of die-hard fans awaiting a sequel. Shortly after, he co-authored another entertaining book, “Brooklyn’s Own: The Notorious A-Team!”.
He went on to work with DJ Kay Slay to produce the Gorilla Khan soundtrack under his new pseudonym William Young. He has since transitioned into music and is currently receiving play on all the top New York stations including Hot 97 and Z100. He was also in The Source’s 2015 Freshmen Edition and has been in Straight Stuntin Magazine as well. He was also featured on Kay Slay’s famed “Enter The Cypher” on the track and video alongside Papoose, Chris Rivers, and Termanology.
