7oddz consistently continues pushing the envelope for Chicago and for Hip Hop. In doing so, they begin venturing out of the U.S. in search of some “Old Fashioned Hip Hop” and achieve victory alongside Aromoman, a solid producer located in the Ukraine.
Enter “Definition Of Hip Hop”, the follow up video to “Oddities Philosophy”. The fellas allow viewers into the realm of the oddz, located on site in the recording studio where the verbal onslaught begins. Make sure to check out both videos and grab a copy of the EP here [link]. We present to you 7oddz in “Definition Of Hip Hop”.
Keeping true to 2016’s #YearOfTheOddz motto, Chicago’s 7oddz presents yet another solid Hip Hop project full of “Old Fashioned Hip Hop”. This nine track EP is made up of instrumentals provided by Ukraine producer ALF of Aromotherapy fame. OFHH also marks the beginning of a new 7oddz line of international material and showcases producers and emcees from around the globe. For this edition, the crew combines Chicago and Lutsk, Ukraine and the end result is nothing short of “Old Fashioned Hip Hop”.
Chicago powerhouse squadron Seven Oddities are keeping the term #YearOfTheOddz in full effect with the announcement of yet another project dropping this year. On top of the four part “Out For Blood” mixtape series they have in effect for 2016, the posse is poised to debut multiple projects produced entirely by beat makers from outside the U.S., one of which is the upcoming “Old Fashion Hip Hop” EP. The project is a collab effort with Ukraine producer Alf of Aromotherapy fame.
To kick things off, we get a visual treatment for the lively “Oddities Philosophy”, which features Doomsday, DreamTek and Clever One. This particular EP presents us with a different sound from the Oddz than the hard body Hip Hop they have become so well known for. However, don’t expect some sugarcoated radio Hip Pop here, the fellas still flex tough over the piano and string laced instrumental. Chicago’s Seven Oddities Records uses whiskey as rhyming fuel as witnessed on their latest optical offering, “Jack Handle”. DreamTek constructs a Windy City wild western production with a splash of soul clap that will leave weak emcees impoverished. Follow the crew as they revisit the 7oddz original stomping grounds for film footage to back this second single from the “Out For Blood Vol. 3 (Chapter 1)” mixtape. Put your bottles up alongside Seven Oddities on their latest release, “Jack Handle”.

The album is being released in two options, one being offered is a special run of only 100 copies signed by all the 7oddz members. The other is in the form of a seven track promo disc made available for free via the crew’s Bandcamp page (click here).
