[EP / Video] Danté Lennon – “Party at a Funeral / One Thing” (@CrownDante)

New York recording artist Danté Lennon premieres her latest musical offerings to the world in the form of an EP titled “Party at a Funeral” and paired along with an interesting visual for “One Thing”. With an uncompromising sound, the album takes you directly inside the mind of an artist, without the smoke and mirrors. Her colorful rhymes are intended to convey a rich truth to the audience, while set to a dope beat. Inspired by artists such as Jay Z, Dante takes her storytelling to another level by releasing a debut project that is an intimate look into the artists mind.

Dropping the mask that most artists continue to hide behind, “Party at a Funeral” is a project that subtlety changes the nuance of hip hop by being barefaced in it’s honesty. With eight new tracks, PaaF is a testimony to the real journey of an artist from start to finish. Taking you on a passage, Dante‘s EP is an aural diary that isn’t pretentious in what it sets out to do, which is allow you the listener to step into her zone and appreciate not only the music, but the artist who truly creates and allows you to step into her creation.

Back this with an impressive optical treatment for one of the album’s standout cuts, “One Thing”, and you have enough material to tide your ears over for weeks to come. We present to you, Brooklyn’s own, Dante.
